National Night Out 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 06 August 2008
We had a WONDERFUL National Night Outice cream social with one of our biggest turnouts ever! The event, sponsored by Forest Estates resident and local realtor Kathy Morgan, took place in Getty Park last night. The ice cream was delicious, the kids had a blast listening to banjo musician Dan Mazer (BanjerDan), and of course our local police department showed up in full force. The big surprise of the evening is that the police brought one of their beautiful horses and allowed the children to come up and pet him.

Many thanks to all of the volunteers and scoopers who helped make this event possible, including: Kathy Morgan, Tim Watkins, Cherrie Webb, Sandra Patterson, Sandra Marquardt, Holly Olson, Heidi McAllister, Cindy Zenick, Adam Pagnucco, Melanee Bryant, Ted Martin, Rick Lutz, and Paul Gordon.

SAVE THE DATE!

Next Tuesday is National Night Out for Forest Estates. The event kicks off at 7:00 pm. and last until 8:30.

We'll be serving Ice Cream at Getty Park, and featuring LIVE BANJO MUSIC from Banjer Dan Mazer.

Rumor has it that McGruff the Crime Dog will make an appearance (if it is not too hot!).

Lots of fun for families and a great excuse to eat ice cream and see your neighbors.

We'll see you there!

(We could use extra hands to help scoop ice cream, set up, or clean up)
