Farmer’s Market

The Forest Estates Farmers Market is the first farmers market in the Montgomery County park system! The Farmer’s Market is unaffiliated with the Forest Estates Community Association (FECA).

The vendors are:

1. Common Root Farm: A small-scale certified organic vegetable farm located near Olney. It also offers a weekly Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) produce drop-off in Forest Estates. The farm accepts both WIC and FMNP.

2. Bump ‘n Grind: Kensington-based coffee roaster offering coffee to drink as well as bags of their signature roasted blends and single-origin organic and/or fairtrade coffee.

3. The Mixing Bowl Bakery: Home-made sweets and treats for all occasions: brownies & bars, cakes & cupcakes, cookies, and more, fresh from Germantown.

4. Pizzeria Coco: Women- and AAPI-owned, Montgomery County-based mobile pizzeria crafting artisanal, 10-inch pizzas using high-quality ingredients with delicious vegan options. Available for catering!

5. Benchmark Sharpening: Sharpening knives, gardening tools, scissors, and woodworking tools onsite. Check out their new retail cutlery store on Antique Row in Kensington near the MARC station!

Plus music by Pat Clark Music! Pat Clark is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, and private music teacher based nearby in Silver Spring. Pat has five years of experience teaching bass, drums, and guitar to students of all ages and skill levels and has played for 17 years in DC-area bands.

Market dates are: May 11 and 25; June 15 and 29; July 13 and 27; August 10 and 24; September 14 and 28; October 12 and 26, and November 9 and 23.
